CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION

Sunday, June 10-the Feast of Corpus Christi-The Body and Blood of Christ.
Years ago this feast was always celebrated with a procession of the Blessed Sacrament in almost every parish. I remember my parents talking about it. Today, I had the privilege of experiencing it for the first time. St. Andrew's Parish in Sierra Vista held such a procession and invited many groups of the church to take part. It was awesome to see so many people take part in this procession.
The procession began after the 10:00 a.m. Mass.

Fr. Greg leads the procession with altar servers following close behind.
We processed around the block and I could not see the end of the line.

The Korean ladies wore their native costume.
People knelt and in reverence threw rose petals at the Blessed Sacrament.
Some of our school families from All Saints took part in the procession.

Fr. Greg asked us to kneel while benediction was being  held in the Divine Mercy Chapel. Those who could knelt on the cobble stones.
